Wordless Wednesday (sorta) pretty princess hair

I was looking for new blogs to read and leave comments with through Secret in the Sauce and came across a very cool one. Sugar and Spice and All Hair Nice is a blog written about hairstyles a very creative mom does on her daughter. I was very impressed with her 4th of July hairsyles, my favorite being the sewn star on pigtail buns.

I was so impressed in fact that I was intrigued as to what I could perform on my two year old. Mind you, I knew she wasn't going to handle it all in one sitting. You'll see pictures of the steps I took to create this totally generic hairstyle, not at all like Sugar and Spice, and know, after each photo was taken she got to run free for five minutes.

"First step, brush hair then put into pigtails"

"Second step, notice daughter needs bangs trimmed"

"Third Step, braid one pigtail"

"Forth Step, trim bangs"

"Fifth Step, braid other pigtail"

"Sixth Step, add flare, and praise daughter on how pretty she looks in hopes she'll let you do it again, another time"

The hair stayed in well the whole day and she wants me to do it again tomorrow. Please make sure to visit Sugar and Spice and All Hair Nice and check out all the great hairsyles she does.

You rock! Thanks for posting about my blog!!! I followed my stats back to your post! And I know what you mean about the five minutes of running around. I can barely get my 2 year old to sit still for 1 regular pony on the top! Thanks again for the shout-out:)

Hi from SITS! My daughter is now 10. WHen she was little, she hated sitting still for hairdos!!

I wanted boys because I can barely make my own hair look nice. These pictures were really cute.

I always get jealous when looking at pictures of girly hair styles. One day maybe I'll have a girl. :)

Her hair looks really cute, great job!

Good job. I purposely started doing my girls' hair young so that they would know it was part of the routine and hopefully not fight it. Sometimes they complain, but they know it has to be done.

Another hair blog that has some pretty neat styles is http://hair4myprincess.blogspot.com/

Good luck!
